To remember is not to hold on to the details and trappings of how things used to be, to get caught by our attachments or aversions to the past. Whatever has been done is over, was done as well as it could be. Remembering is simply a matter of recollecting the essence of ourselves - of gathering our own finest pollen into the present for the sake of the future.
